Cocoknits Tape Measure is a retractable tape measure made from PLA, a 100% biodegradable plant fibre derived from fermented plant starch such as corn, beets, or sugar cane, free from petroleum plastic. The absence of a locking mechanism keeps it completely plastic-free and reduces the likelihood of breakage. Each tape measure comes packaged in a reusable linen drawstring bag.
The metal tape inside measures both inches and centimetres/millimetres, and has a metal tab on the end to prevent it from retracting fully into the body. To keep the tape extended, hold the metal tab or the tape at the body. The PLA casing is not water soluble and can be submerged without any change to the material.
