The Ashford Introduction to Dyeing Starter Kit is designed for complete beginners. Ashford's wool dyes are perfect for dying all protein fibres, yarns, and fabrics.
Ashford dyes can be used on wool, silk, cashmere, mohair, angora, llama, alpaca, vicuna, feathers, and other protein fibres. The only mordant required is white vinegar. You can use the microwave, stovetop, slow cooker, or steam method for Ashford dyes.
The kit includes the following:
- 10 g of Fuchsia (hot pink)
- 10 g of Bright Yellow
- 10 g of Coal (black)
- 10 g of Sapphire (blue)
- A colour wheel
- 2 x 100 g skeins of 4-ply/fingering weight yarn made from 75% wool and 25% nylon.
- An instruction book that includes colour theory and colour recipes.
