The Ashford Introduction to Dyeing Starter Kit is designed for complete beginners. Ashford's wool dyes are perfect for dying all protein fibres, yarns, and fabrics.

Ashford dyes can be used on wool, silk, cashmere, mohair, angora, llama, alpaca, vicuna, feathers, and other protein fibres. The only mordant required is white vinegar. You can use the microwave, stovetop, slow cooker, or steam method for Ashford dyes.

The kit includes the following:

  • 10 grams of Fuchsia (hot pink)
  • 10 grams of Bright Yellow
  • 10 grams of Coal (black)
  • 10 grams of Sapphire (blue)
  • 2 x 100 gram skeins of yarn made from 75% wool and 25% nylon. This yarn is a 4-ply/fingering weight.
  • An instruction book that includes colour theory and colour recipes.
  • A colour wheel.
